Great Charger!!!

My Droid is a battery hog and with my new spare battery, this charger is a god send. I can charge my spare battery AND plug my usb phone charger into it at the same time. Durable, efficient and portable. A great solution for any multi-battery owner/user. Satisfied and highly recommended! The only thing I'd change is that the prongs slide just a bit easier... but once it's set, it stays in place so I guess you can't have it both ways.

If you live in the city, you need this

My friends back in California have car chargers to keep their smartphones alive all day. I'm in Manhattan and I walk or take the subway. That's what we do, so I always have an extra battery on me. This product saved me sockets and time. If you connect your usb to it, you can charge your phone and the extra battery. Very nifty. Lining up the contacts is real simple once you get the hang of it: one contact on the farthest left, and the other on farthest right of the battery's copper strips. If you live in the city, get this charger!

A Bit of a Pain

The batteries I charge are similar to the one depicted in the picture. The charger's contacts are very small, and the contacts on the batteries are also small. It takes considerable effort to align the contacts up so that continuity is achieved. Once done, however, the charger functions as claimed. The USB portion is convenient to use.

just move the connectors, one on positive and one on negative points on battery.Plug in, and whala! Everyone should have one of these!and you can do your phone at the same time with your usb cable!

Good to have, but needs better directions

My cell phone is my only phone. I am more comfortable having a charged battery in reserve, so I purchased this charger. I have a Mororola Bravo, and the battery just fit into this charger. The included directions are printed in a small font, perhaps a 9 or 10 point, and don't give a complete picture of how to use the charger. Be sure to check the description on the web page. The charging prongs need to be adjusted to the indivdual battery, so you need to find the positive and negative terminals on your battery. When the battery is inserted correctly, 2 LEDs turn green. When the charger is then plugged in, the LEDs turn blue. When the LEDs turn green again, the battery is charged. It seemed to take a long time- several hours- to charge the battery, but it was charged, and I am happy with this charger. It is possible to charge the battery in the phone at the same time, by using your phone's USB cable.

The Contact Pins are Adjustable - Good But,...

I am happy with this item and it does what I bought it for - which is to charge my spare battery for my Samsung Droid Charge. The problem I had was figuring out where to place the TWO contact pins on the THREE 'hot spot' contacts on the battery? The directions gave no clue!? I had to just try a couple of combinations until I got it right hoping that I wasn't ruining my battery in the process. FYI - the pins go on the two outside contacts. The one in the middle remains untouched. My 1600 mAh 3.7 v Li-ion battery charges in about 2.5 hours. I love not having to worry about running out of power when I'm out and about now.

Universal Battery Charger works great

I purchased this battery charger to charge the battery that came with my Nexus S as well as the larger battery I purchased separately. The charger is capable of charging both batteries. Only complaint is there were no directions how to use the charger but as another user posted you move the pins on the charger to connect to your + and - metal terminals on the battery. Middle terminal is left empty. Would be nice if manufacturer put a + and - symbol on the movable pins to indicate proper connections. Now I always have a spare battery I can pop in the phone when needed. The larger battery does last about twice as long which is nice but it is bigger and requires a larger back cover plate for the phone so this may impact if the phone fits in a holster or if you have a protective case. Since this product is MIC I hope it lasts...

Does not Fit All Cell Phone Batteries

I have a Verizon Droid Bionic with both standard and extended batteries. Neither of these batteries will fit into this charger because of the length of the battery. It is at least 1/8" short and that's just to get the battery into the holder, much less to allow for the charging prongs.

works perfectly

my blackberry curve's charging port stopped working, and I did not want to pay for a new phone... instead of getting it fixed, I thought I would just pay for this (only $11) and use the money I wouldve used to fix it on a new battery... this product arrived in the mail and it works perfectly. easy to use, just matchup the + and - pins and plug it in the wall. it doesn't overcharge your battery as it goes to standby mode once the battery is full. I now have 2 batteries on me at all times, and never have to worry about low battery. great product.

uses different size batteries

I really love this charger. I use the extended time batteries that are bigger than the battery that with the phone, but gives you much longer talk time. It was very hard to find a charger that would work with th oversized battery. This charger does accomidate the oversized battery. I was so happy to get the charger. I had several of the oversized batteries and no way to charge them. The short of this, is it is an excellant charger.
